Josie Long is a one off. Often described as a unique voice in comedy, she is one of the most respected comedians of her generation. She started stand-up at 14, winning the BBC New Comedy Award and coming 2nd in So You Think You're Funny at 17.

She has appeared on: The News Quiz, Just A Minute, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Alternative Comedy Experience, Have I Got News For You and 8 out of 10 Cats, as well as Australia's Thank God You're Here. And you may have also seen her investigating the glorious rise of online comedy on The Culture Show for BBC2, or heard her as the voice of the incredibly popular Radio 4 show Short Cuts.

Josie’s eighth solo stand-up show, Something Better, started in full swing in September last year with a sell-out two week run at the Soho Theatre, London followed by an exciting round of sell-out shows in New York. Kicking of 2017 with a bang, Josie has continued her success on the road to tour nationwide, culminating in a sold-out show at Duchess Theatre, London. Winning her rave reviews, Something Better is a comical and positive narrative on Brexit and the tribulations of the Labour party. Wittily combining the political and the personal, Josie has created another comedic gem.

Josie started her career supporting Stewart Lee on his national tour winning Chortle's Best Newcomer (2005) and Breakthrough Act (2007) awards. In 2006, her show Kindness and Exuberance won Perrier Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe, and since then Josie has been a one woman touring machine racking up 3 consecutive nominations for the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award and touring her shows to Montreal, Melbourne, Adelaide and New Zealand, picking up the 2007 Barry Award in Melbourne on the way. In 2015 she went across to America with her latest show Cara Josephine which she performed in New York and LA after a sell-out Edinburgh run in 2014 and subsequent sold out London dates throughout 2014 and 2015. Cara Josephine was the overall best reviewed comedy show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014.

In 2016 she was in The Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls as part of Channel 4's Stand Up 2 Cancer campaign.
